Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager positions the company as a top-choice provider of a complete offering of machine tool solutions.


Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Manage all accounts and prospects in the assigned sales territory/area by using a CRM database (SalesForce, etc.) .
  • Maintain favorable market share by serving existing customers, prospecting new clients, and using productive selling strategy.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with top executives, purchasing, and maintenance within the internal company as well as external client companies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and analyze yearly usage of all MRO parts. Recommend our full range of product line-up.
  • Represent the company’s brand at special event and/or trade show settings.
  • Execute other tasks related to special events (ToyoTech, IMTS, etc.) or the selling process on an as-needed basis.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Regional Sales Manager has direct responsibility of short/long term projects and their strategic objectives.



The Regional Sales Manager must be flexible for company funded travel during 60-70% of her/his typical work week.  Some projects require travel by automobile/car and/or airplane.  International and overnight travel may be required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to provide valid proof of identity and valid United States work authorization documentation.
  • Ability to successfully complete a company-paid drug test and pre-employment baseline physical.
  • Hearing, color vision, and the ability to push at least 50 pounds and lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate ancillary equipment, tools, and office equipment.
  • Ability to climb/descend ladders and the ability to bend/twist.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in the English language, including ability to communicate with C-level executives.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, organization, and the ability to process confidential information.
  • Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of machining fundamentals is highly desired.
  • Ability to interpret part nomenclature and provide customers with a crossover.
  • Basic knowledge of brands used in machine tool and the ability to identify MRO parts.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in the Spanish and/or Japanese languages is/are highly desired.


Required Education, Experience, and Licensing:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.).
  • Valid driver/operator license that grants the availability for unrestricted travel.
  • Familiarity with principles of mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and/or technical sales.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with productive selling strategy and how it applies to business-level situations in a technical setting.
  • 1-5 year(s) of experience with applying sales knowledge to engineering-related concepts is highly desired.
  • Prior application of the appropriate education, experience, and licensing to the MRO parts is highly desired.
  • Valid documentation that grants the availability for international travel by land and/or air is highly desired.
  • Post-secondary certificate or licensing in a trade related to technical sales and/or machine tool technology is highly desired.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Marketing, Technical Sales, Engineering, or other applicable discipline is highly desired.
