Customer Success & Marketing Associate

Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Assisting Regional Sales Managers with order entry and acceptance.
  • Assisting Regional Sales Managers with creating quotations if Sales Manager is traveling.
  • Assisting Regional Sales Managers with customizing Powerpoints or other presentation material.
  • Assisting Regional Sales Managers/Customers/Dealers as a resource inside Headquarters facility. to follow-up on existing service, engineering, or documentation requests.
  • Working with Distribution Partners within their assigned Sales Region to ensure they have the marketing resources they need.
  • Soliciting Customer feedback by phone from assigned sales regions:
    • Prospecting for new opportunities for new product sales, paid engineering or paid service.
    • Scheduling meetings in coordination with Regional Sales Managers for uncovered opportunities.
    • Net Promoter Score market research for customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying Case Study opportunities at satisfied customers.
  • Managing CRM database for assigned sales regions – updating account pages, researching customer information, adding strategic machine preference and industry data, and de-duplicating.
  • Generating reports out of the CRM system.
  • General Marketing department assistance for overflow.
  • May occasionally travel to visit customers, distribution partners, or assist in regional trade shows.

 

Travel:

The Customer Success & Marketing Associate must be flexible for company funded travel during 5-10% of her/his typical work week. 

 

Required Knowledge Skills, and Abilities:

  • Availability for work during company business hours (M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM central time)
  • Color vision, hearing, and the ability to push at least 50 pounds and lift at least 15 pounds
  • Ability to climb/descend ladders and the ability to bend/twist
  • Hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard and other similar office equipment
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, organization, the ability to process confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to relate to customer needs

 

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Marketing, Business, Advertising or related strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with principles of mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and/or technical sales.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with productive selling strategy and how it applies to business-level situations in a technical setting.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with using CRM applications (SalesForce, ServiceMax, etc.)
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with applying sales knowledge to engineering-related concepts is highly desired.
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

Work is mostly performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health and safety hazards, and with substantial time spent working with office equipment. However, the duties of the Marketing Associate may occasionally require exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety glasses with side shields, safety boots, and mandatory hearing protection.
