Aftermarket Support Analyst

The Aftermarket Support Analyst supports field technicians and equipment end-users with identification of machine parts and related components.


Essential Duties and Accountabilities:

  • ·        Support field service staff and end-users with identification of machine tool parts.
  • ·        Analyze and interpret machine assembly drawings.
  • ·        Evaluate the company’s repair parts inventory through analysis, optimization, and maintenance of the database of part descriptions.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Aftermarket Support Analyst has no personnel supervisory responsibilities.



The Aftermarket Support Analyst typically does not travel. Occasional special events may require travel by automobile/car and/or airplane.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  •  Ability to provide valid proof of identity and valid United States work authorization documentation.
  •   Ability to successfully complete a company-paid drug test and pre-employment baseline physical.
  •    Hearing, color vision, and the ability to push at least 15 pounds and lift at least 10 pounds.
  • Hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate ancillary equipment, tools, and office equipment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation, organization are critical in this role.
  •  Ability to interpret technical engineering documents (schematic drawings, machine/part blueprints, etc.)
  • Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude, and knowledge of machining fundamentals is beneficial but not required.
  •  Ability to analyze data and propose adjustments to inventory settings.
  • Ability to read Japanese language is beneficial but not required

Required Education, Experience, and Licensing:

  • Experience in machine tools, machine parts, automated equipment or related field
  •   Applicable workplace experience or a bachelor degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering. 
  •  1+years(s) of experience with interpretation of CAD drawings is beneficial.
  •     1+ year(s) of experience with the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  •  3+ years of experience with documentation control and creation in the machine tool and/or manufacturing industry.
  • Prior involvement with development and/or optimization of an e-commerce solution is highly desired.
  • 2+ year(s) of experience with inventory management (especially in the manufacturing industry) highly desired.
  • 2+ year(s) of experience with advanced concepts of close-tolerance machining and related metrology are highly desired.
  • Certificate or licensing in a trade related to project management and/or machine tool technology is highly desired
